Our eco flooring range provides sustainable floors without compromising on design and functionality. Each of the planks in the Kahrs Aware collection have an authentic wood grain surface finish. The innovative hot coating wear layer provides excellent scratch resistance and seals the surface against dirt and chemicals, as well as making it water resistant. In addition, it gives it an attractive matt finish which is extremely easy to maintain.
The cork backing is made from recycled cork from wine cork production and gives the Kahrs Aware collection its excellent sound reducing properties (dampens vibrations), increases walking comfort and helps to even out small deviations on the sub floor. Cork is 100% natural and is also a natural CO2 retainer, making an ideal backing material for an eco-friendly floor. In addition, the cork backing means that no additional underlay is required.
The core of the planks is made from high quality HDF made partly from waste. The core material is made from natural wood fibres which makes the product light to handle as well as being extremely durable. It also gives strength to joints and keeps the floor very stable throughout its lifetime. High quality HDF doesn't react to heat, so it is the perfect solution around fireplaces, close to large windows and with underfloor heating.
Our collection of sustainable floors from Kahrs are extremely easy to install with a high precision click system for hassle-free fitting and a stable join. All of the Kahrs Aware floors are fitted as a floating floor, omitting the requirement for toxic adhesives during the installation, as well as ensuring a quick and efficient fit.
